Abstract

This article compares the range of arguments outlined by the highest bodies of constitutional justice in Colombia and Chile regarding the concept of conscientious objection to the legalization of abortion. In this way, it is possible to glimpse the divergences that the content and scope of disobedience takes in the region. In this context, the importance of these cases as judicial constructions on which to project definitions of legal abortion in countries that share the same international human rights system is highlighted.
