This paper reviews Francesca Poggi’s book Il modello conversazionale. Sulla differenza tra comprensione ordinaria e interpretazione giuridica. The first part of the work seeks to describe the book’s contents, highlighting some of its key aspects. The second part delves deeper, taking as a starting point Poggi’s example of the directive to interpret contracts in accordance with good faith, discussed in the book’s final section, the usefulness of the conversational model of interpretation for contract interpretation, and even for certain issues that go beyond the interpretive activity of those acts of private autonomy.
