Resumo

El pasado mes de mayo, a los 88 años, falleció Axel Leijonhufvud. Axel (todo el mundo que lo conoció lo llamaba así) fue un macroeconomista con un pensamiento teórico y un modo de razonamiento especiales, que dedicó el grueso de su trabajo a la exploración de un tema crucial para el análisis macroeconómico y para la gestión de políticas: la naturaleza, alcances y limitaciones de los mecanismos endógenos de autoajuste de los sistemas económicos, evocando a la “mano invisible” smithiana...
