In this article I first attempt to show why any theory of interpretation presupposes a theory of meaning. Secondly, I attempt to briefly reconstruct the theory of meaning implicitly used in "Rule Scepticism Revisited", showing how in fact Guastini's discourse presupposes two mutually incompatible theories.
